Facebook & Instagram Conversions

Close the loop on
social spend

Facebook and Instagram drive the call — then the trail goes cold. We push qualifying phone leads back into Meta as conversions, tied to the original click.

Meta Ads

From click to conversion.

The same closed loop we run for Google Ads, built on Meta's Conversions API.

01

Capture the click

When a visitor arrives from a Meta ad, our tracking script stores the Facebook click ID (fbclid) against their session — exactly the way we handle gclid for Google Ads.

02

Qualify the call

Once the call finalises we apply your gates: a minimum connected duration, and optionally a required AI intent tag. Calls that miss the bar are never uploaded.

03

Upload the conversion

Qualifying calls are sent to your chosen Meta dataset as your chosen event — "Lead", for example — timestamped to the call, matched on the click that started it.

04

Optimise on real leads

Meta now bids toward the ads that produce answered, qualified phone calls, instead of whichever ad produced the most clicks.

Only train Meta on real leads.

A conversion feed full of wrong numbers and 8-second hang-ups teaches the algorithm the wrong lesson. You control exactly what qualifies.

Minimum call duration

Set the connected duration a call must reach before it counts — 60 seconds by default. Short calls and hang-ups never reach Meta. Set it to zero and every call is sent, including unanswered ones.

Required intent tags

Pair it with AI Call Insights and require a tag like “Qualified Lead” before a call converts. Leave it empty and every otherwise-qualifying call is sent.

Connect once

  • Connect through Facebook Login for Business — no copying tokens between tabs.
  • Pick the dataset (pixel) conversions should land in.
  • Choose the event name a qualifying call maps to, such as "Lead".
  • The connection does not expire, so there is no annual reauthorisation scramble.

What we will not pretend

Meta attributes a conversion using the click ID. If a caller never touched a Meta ad — they arrived from organic, a billboard, or a saved contact — there is no click to match, and we do not invent one.

Every call is recorded as eligible or pushed, so you can see the difference rather than guess at it.

No double counting.

Each conversion carries the tracked call's own ID as its event ID, so if a delivery is ever retried Meta recognises it as the same event. One call is one conversion — never two.
