Add numbers to a pool

A pool needs numbers before the script can swap anything. Order new numbers, or add numbers the project already owns.

Before you begin

Order new numbers

  1. In the Enfonica Console, open the tracking site, click Number pools, open the pool, and open its numbers.
  2. Click Add numbers and select the Auto-Provision tab.
  3. Under Number configuration, choose the Number type: Local, Toll-Free (1800) or Shared-Rate (1300).
  4. For local numbers, optionally choose a Location to get numbers from a particular city or zone. Leave it blank to accept any local zone.
  5. Under Capacity calculator, set the visits per hour, the average time on page and a safety factor to get a recommended quantity, or enter the quantity directly under Final configuration.
  6. Submit the order.

The order appears under Provisioning in progress with the state Pending. Orders are fulfilled within the hour, and the numbers appear in the pool automatically. If not enough numbers are available, the order shows Partially fulfilled and Enfonica completes it as numbers become available.

Add numbers from inventory

If the project already owns numbers that aren't in use, add them instead of ordering more.

  1. Open the pool's numbers and click Add numbers.
  2. Select the From Inventory tab. The tab appears only when your organisation has unused numbers.
  3. Search for the numbers, select them, and click Add selected.

The Console shows "Numbers added to pool."

Remove a number

  1. Open the pool's numbers.
  2. Next to the number, click Delete number.
  3. Choose whether to keep the phone number in the project's inventory. If you clear the option, the phone number is released from the project.
  4. Confirm.

Calls to a removed number no longer reach the pool's handlers. Keep the number in inventory if you might use it again.

Billing

Numbers beyond the plan's inclusion are billed monthly from the day they are provisioned. See Manage billing and your plan.

Enterprise accounts

Every number is billed on your Enfonica account from the day it is provisioned. See Two kinds of accounts.
