Regulatory listings for Australian numbers¶
Australian phone numbers are registered to a business name and address. In Call Tracking that registration is a regulatory listing. A tracking site must have a listing before numbers can be ordered for it, which is why a quote asks for the client's business address.
What a listing contains¶
- The business name.
- A street address in Australia. PO Box addresses aren't accepted.
Enfonica registers each number you order against the listing. The listing isn't shown to callers.
Requirements by number type¶
| Number type | Requirement |
|---|---|
Local (02, 03, 07, 08) |
Business name and an Australian street address. |
| 1300 and 1800 | None beyond the listing that the tracking site already has. |
How listings are created¶
- From a quote. When a client accepts a quote, Enfonica creates a listing from the business name and address on the quote and assigns it to the client's tracking site.
- For another business or address. Contact Enfonica support through the contact page with the business name and address.
Enterprise accounts
Create listings yourself under Phone Numbers > Regulatory listings and select one when you create a tracking site. See Two kinds of accounts.
Where a listing is used¶
- Tracking site. The site's listing is used for every number ordered into its pools. Change it under Settings > Regulatory listing.
- Static number. A static number can have its own listing, chosen on the Configure step.
If a client wants local numbers registered to several locations, purchase them as static numbers with a listing per location, or use a separate tracking site per location.

These are the registration requirements Enfonica applies. They aren't legal advice. You are responsible for meeting the obligations that apply to you.
