Use the getting-started list

The Getting started card on a tracking site's Overview lists what the site needs before it can track calls. Each task ticks itself off when the site has what it needs, and links to the screen and the page for it.

Before you begin

  • You can sign in to the Enfonica Console and open the tracking site.

What the list tracks

Essentials, in order:

Task Done when Where
Set where calls go The site has an incoming call handler. Settings > Incoming call routing. See Route incoming calls.
Set up a number pool A pool exists with a rule. Number pools. See Create a number pool and its rules.
Add numbers to the pool A pool has at least one number, or the site has a static number. Shows Order pending while numbers are being provisioned. Number pools > pool > Add numbers. See Add numbers to a pool.
Install the tracking script The script has reported in from the website. Settings > Tracking script. See Install the tracking script.
Make a test call At least one call has been tracked. Tracked calls. See Verify the installation.

Recommended, not required:

Task Done when Where
Turn on call recording and consent Call recording is set to record on answer or on bridge. Settings > Call recording defaults. See Call recording consent in Australia.
Connect Google Ads, GA4 or HubSpot Any integration is connected and enabled. Integrations. See Integrations overview.
Set up email reports At least one report has a recipient. Email reports. See Schedule email reports.
Invite a colleague The project has more than one user. Settings > Users. See Manage users and roles.

Use it

  1. Open the tracking site. The card is at the top of Overview and reads Getting started ยท 2 of 5 essentials done.
  2. Click a task's link, for example Tracking script, to go to the screen for it. Click Docs on a task to open its guide.
  3. Click Refresh after you change something elsewhere.
  4. You can collapse the card while you work.
  5. Once every essential is done, the card changes to Ready to go. It lists the recommended tasks still open, with links to Tracked calls, Explore, the reporting guide and the attribution guide. When the recommended tasks are done too, the card goes away. Nothing is saved: the card comes back if a site loses something it needs, for example when its last number is released.

Agencies

The Clients list has a Script column showing Installed or Not installed for each client site, so you can see which sites still need the tracking script.
